You can choose from 5 courses. The 3 positive parenting courses are tailored to the development stages of your child. They give the parents practical and efficient tools to help them to tackle everyday situations in the spirit of positive parenting. The “Jealousy: conflict and rivalry between siblings” workshop focuses on relationships and conflict management between siblings. Finally, the workshop for early childhood professionals offers a programme of positive communication created for the needs of professionals working with small children.

The aim of the workshop is to convey to parents the essential concepts of how the dynamics between siblings work, to help them cope with jealousy and rivalry between siblings. With the help of positive parenting tools and the analysis of problematic situations, parents will be able to better manage conflicts between siblings.

Workshop No. 4: Jealousy: Conflicts and rivalry between siblings

The main topics of the course are:

  • Conflicts and disputes between brothers and sisters. Understanding the role of disputes and conflicts. Discovering the five keys to positive conflict resolution.

Participants will be accompanied in a journey to understand the issues of early childhood, the triggers of certain situations and the impact of everyone's attitudes. The training is based on a dynamic teaching book, addressing the concrete scenes of an early childhood facility. The programme was designed by a multidisciplinary and professional early childhood team of “L’atelier des Parents”. The sharing of experiences and reflection on actual problems plays an important role in the programme. It consists of 4 one-day modules to be adapted according to your needs.

Workshop no 5: Positive communication for early childhood professionals

The 4 modules of the training:

  • Module 1: Understanding and taming emotions. How to react to children's emotions and feelings (fear, anger, aggression, excitement, etc.) and how to help them understand them better.

  • Module 2: Laying down a solid and secure framework. Accompanying the child in his or her learning of rules and social life. Finding an alternative to punishment and help the child develop a sense of responsibility.

  • Module 3: The three pillars of self-esteem. Accompanying the young child in the development of his or her autonomy and self-esteem.

  • Module 4: The importance of the parent-child-professionals trio. Accompanying families the best possible way or establishing a kind communication with parents for the well-being of the child.
