The period of 0 to 6 years is specific in terms of physical, psychological and neurological development. This course provides keys for early childhood professionals as to how to use efficient and positive communication tools which are adapted to the child’s age.
Participants will be accompanied in a journey to understand the issues of early childhood, the triggers of certain situations and the impact of everyone's attitudes. The training is based on a dynamic teaching book, addressing the concrete scenes of an early childhood facility. The programme was designed by a multidisciplinary and professional early childhood team of “L’atelier des Parents”. The sharing of experiences and reflection on actual problems plays an important role in the programme. It consists of 4 one-day modules to be adapted according to your needs.
Course 5: Positive communication for early childhood professionals
The 4 modules of the training:
- Module 1: Understanding and taming emotions. How to react to children's emotions and feelings (fear, anger, aggression, excitement, etc.) and how to help them understand them better.
- Module 2: Laying down a solid and secure framework. Accompanying the child in his or her learning of rules and social life. Finding an alternative to punishment and help the child develop a sense of responsibility.
- Module 3: The three pillars of self-esteem. Accompanying the young child in the development of his or her autonomy and self-esteem.
- Module 4: The importance of the parent-child-professionals trio. Accompanying families the best possible way or establishing a kind communication with parents for the well-being of the child.
