There are times, when we encounter difficulties in our life and we just don’t know how to sort things out. In those life situations we might need external help.

My method

Over the years, I have developed a method based on combining life coaching and counselling.

Life coaching can help you overcome a difficult situation, find your own solutions, reconnect with your needs and your resources, and find your determination and energy to make changes.

In coaching, you are the expert of your life. Coaching involves the belief that the individual has the answers to their own problems within them, it helps to unlock a person’s potential and make it possible to achieve their goal. The coach helps the client stay focused, motivated and stay on track but the decisions and the work itself has to be done by the client.

Counselling, focusing more on emotions and the sources of the problems, has proven to be an excellent complement to coaching. In counselling we use a more therapeutic approach, where we might work with traumatic events and emotions. However, it is important to know that counselling is not psychotherapy. Counselling is recommended for mentally healthy people who are experiencing difficulties in their lives.

In my practice I use a variety of tools, such as positive psychology, NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) guided visualisation, family constellations, as well as sophrology, breathing and emotional awareness exercises, cognitive behavioral therapy and hypnotherapy or somatic approach to help clients connect with their feelings, needs and inner resources.

Each process is personalized and adapted. I use a holistic approach: I am convinced that our body, mind and soul are intimately connected, they influence each other and we cannot treat them separately.

Visualization and awareness raising exercises help to re-establish a connection between the body, emotions and thoughts and to find the roots of the problems and possible paths of development and change.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a brief therapeutic method that can be used either as part of a longer therapeutic session or on its own. Hypnotherapy works with the theta waves of the brain in a deeply relaxed but still conscious state. In this deeply relaxed state, we can more easily access our inner resources, the solutions of our unconscious mind and rewrite patterns that have become obsolete.
Hypnotherapy can be used effectively for quitting smoking, losing weight, alleviating pain, getting rid of anxiety, phobias, addictions and relieving emotional blockages.

Parental coaching

Recent neuroscience studies show how parents' behaviour and communication affect the development of a child's brain, including their emotional development and social integration.

Positive parenting and non-violent communication are about working on yourself and acquiring new parenting skills through a set of tools that enable parents to better manage challenging situations.

For me the main issue is to reflect on what we want to teach to the child and whether we use the proper means to achieve this goal while preserving a relationship based on respect and love. Parental coaching allows parents to resolve conflicts in a caring way, to gain confidence in their parenting roles, to establish a relationship based on respect and love, to define and enforce rules, to manage difficult emotions.

Step by step we approach the solution by exploring and by raising awareness of the emotions, the needs and the behaviours of each and everyone involved in the problem. As a result of working together a harmonious relationship could be re-established with the means of positive education.

In consultations I see more and more parents with highly sensitive and high-potential children.

During several of my workshops, teachers have also shared that the number of children with high sensitivity, with special needs are increasing in classes.

Being a parent of a highly sensitive or high-potential child can be a great challenge. These children are highly intelligent and extremely precious, but their nervous system works differently from that of the average person. They cannot fit in the usual box. Once we understand this amazing and unique way of functioning of these children, the challenges and the opportunities this pattern of different thinking presents, we can find ways of coping. Yes, some adjustments are needed; yes, it can be extremely difficult from time to time. Once you and your child get to know the way their brain works, and you understand their needs, you can help them to better navigate in everyday life.
